Huge luxury cruise liners, lavish yachts and speed boats that will blow your socks off, the boating industry is becoming hip and cool again. Now anyone who is anyone can be snapped taking a luxury holiday on a huge yacht somewhere. The cruise industry is also a holiday option which more and more people are deciding to take. It is an alternative to the run of the mill beach resort or city break.
Traditionally cruises have been associated with retirees wanting to take a luxury voyage and enjoy the serene beauty of the open sea. Now the industry is trying to change that image and attract a broader clientele. P & O Ferries and Crystal Cruises are pushing the boat out and introducing new technology, new entertainment and a new approach which is attracting a younger crowd to the luxury cruise market.
A further helpful idea relevant to this issue. Today few working couples or families have time to take long cruises so many companies are offering shorter trips of 4 to 7 nights, particularly around the Mediterranean. With a younger demographic comes the demand for new destinations. New York has become very popular with 18-34 year olds. The lights of the ‘Big Apple’ and ample shopping and fine dining make it an attractive port for cruises.

As time progresses so does technology and the cruise industry is not being left behind. Some new cruise liners have artificial surf pools and even iLounges so people can use iPads and Macs in comfort. Not only this, leading companies in the industry are also installing glass bottom walkways, huge water slides and special sea viewing platforms to provide some exhilarating views of the ocean.
For most people the quarters of a cruise are cramped and less than satisfying but this is changing with large cruise ships becoming much better at utilising space without sacrificing comfort. You can expect similar comfort to a luxury hotel with a choice of various size cabins and suites. Some of the suites even have a personal concierge and butler service.
Today’s economy is not exactly all plain sailing there is a lot of uncertainty. But that’s not stopping holidaymakers taking cruises, some are opting for shorter breaks particularly the younger crowd. The weekend cruise for city slickers is a popular choice. It is a good way for people to sample a cruise and see if they like it. In the UK a few short cruises depart from Southampton and take a trip to Guernsey for a delightful meander to St. Peter Port. The appeal is the avoidance of increasingly annoying airports as your holiday effectively starts as soon as you board the ship. Life on a ship is set to a different pace. Although you can enjoy exciting entertainment, for those that just want to unwind and enjoy a relaxing break taking in the clean sea air there is no better option.
The luxury cruise industry is changing its image for the better and with new destinations and attractions that rival even the best resorts the cruise holiday is certainly here to stay.

So my mom and I are going to NYC in April for 3 night our price range is about 300$ per night I also want it to be super chic and ultra modern also preferably really close to times square any good suggestions??? Btw we were thinking about the muse hotel is this a good hotel? Thanks!
I’m wanting to save up money so I can go to New York, how much money will it cost? Read details.? So I’m gonna be going to ny with my grandma. Were going to Niagara falls, ny. Because that's where my family is. So were gonna be saying at one of there'd houses in Niagara falls, ny. But I'm wanting to visit new York city. I told my grandma that and she said that she’ll go because it’ll be safer. I'll be seventeen by the time I go to ny. So the trip from Niagara falls to new York city will be a day long trip and so I would like to get a hotel room there for two nights (2 star hotel) but I'll have to get a rent a car so I can get there. While I'm in ny I would like to treat my grandma out to a four star restaurant, also were gonna be going to a broad way show. But I know nothing about how much the cost will be. I live in las Vegas Nevada. And were going to Niagara falls and staying there fir about 7 days. During the week were gonna go to NYC and stay there for one nights. So the only lodging fee that will cost us is staying In NYC. Here's what I need to know is how much all this is gonna cost. I'll sum it up below: -air fair to Niagara falls, ny (whatever airport is closest to the city) from las Vegas, and then back to Vegas (Vegas—>Niagara falls, NY—>Vegas ) -a 1nite stay in NYC at a two star hotel -a broadway show for one person -a four star restaurant in NYC (the most well have is halibut and steak, normal filet mignon no Kobe, with a glass if wine and lemonade or something) -rent a car for three or two days (normal car nothing special) -spending a little money at the shops in NYC Remember I'm seventeen years old by that time ————>>>>THANKS
Does hotels usually check the number of guests during check-in time ? We’re booking a hotel in NY , we’re three adults. We’re planning to visit NY during long weekend. We want stay in empire state building area. Any four star hotel. There hotel policy says not more than two guests in a room. Extra guest would be a charge of fourty dollars per day. Questions: ========= 1) Do they really check as how many are checking into the hotel during check-in time ? 2) Can I say two guests only and we three can stay in the same room ? Just trying to save by staying in one room only.

In New York, yes. The city is extremely strict on the number of people who can stay in a room. And at some hotels you have to go through security just to get to the front desk to keep the prostitutes and homeless out of the lobby. And in New York, if you get caught you won't be saving money since you’ll be evicted without refund.
